Gonzalez Frank Studio is a one-person pottery practice based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Every piece is thrown, carved, and glazed by hand. No molds, no production lines, which means no two pieces I make ever come out quite the same.
After a decade in advertising in Mexico City, I moved to Berlin for two years, where I first learned pottery. When I came back to Mexico, I returned to my hometown of Puerto Vallarta to pursue what felt like the biggest passion of my life: pottery. I've discovered there's nothing better than filling someone's space with a piece they'll want to see every day.
Pieces are made in high-quality stoneware with an eye toward texture, carving, and a variety of food safe glazes that feel warm and organic rather than perfect. The practice keeps evolving, new techniques, new inspiration pulled from whatever life is putting in front of me at the time while living in tropical paradise.
